Who Am I & What Do I Know About Architecture?

I’m Rasha Shrourou, an architectural designer and founder of Surviving Architecture; a community of over 300,000 architects and students learning to create better drawings and presentations.

I started Surviving Architecture while studying architecture to share what I was learning and help others improve their visual storytelling. What began as a few tutorials has grown into one of the largest platforms for architecture students worldwide.

Over the years, I’ve collaborated with Lumion, D5 Render, and Skillshare, hosted international workshops, mentored students, and created design tools used by thousands of architects.

Along the way, I’ve been recognised for my work — winning the RIBA Wren Insurance Association Scholarship (2021) worth £6,000, awarded to only five architecture students across the UK, and the RIBA West Midlands Regional Award for Women in Property during my undergraduate studies, competing among hundreds of applicants. My design projects have also been featured on Dezeen, RIBA, AJ, YAC, and Archisource.

Through both practice and content creation, I’ve learned how powerful visual clarity and storytelling are in architecture; and that’s exactly what inspired this archi textures pack.
