Site Plan Drawing PSD - Photoshop Rendering
Rendering site plans has always been one of my favourite parts of the design process. It’s where I think about composition, materiality, thresholds and circulation, and how everything connects across the site. Over time I’ve developed a personal style that feels soft, balanced and architectural, minimal yet detailed, precise yet expressive. It’s the approach I always return to and the one I get the most compliments on.
Enter, Site Plan Drawing PSD
This PSD file includes the exact textures, colours, effects and layer setup I use for my signature site plan style.
So, if you want site plan drawings that can get anyone to…
- Instantly understand your design
- See how materials and landscaping connect
- Remember your calm, balanced composition
Then this PSD file is for you.
What’s Included
✔️ Editable PSD file with textures, colours, and effects
✔️ Linked Illustrator file for clean linework
✔️ Ready Layers with colour-coded groups
✔️ Smart filters and non-destructive effects
✔️ Organised folders for quick editing
✔️ High-resolution setup for sharp exports
Why Not Just Watch a Tutorial Instead?
Sure, you can watch tutorials. But most videos are 15–20 minutes when sped up, which makes it hard to follow every exact step if you’re a beginner.
There’s real value in having the original Photoshop file. You can dissect it, go layer by layer, and see exactly how the drawing is built.
Keep it as a reference. Open it any time you need to render a new site plan and apply the same structure with confidence.
How to Use This File
- Open the PSD and explore it layer by layer — study how textures, shadows and tones are arranged to create depth and balance.
- Learn from the structure — see how each layer, mask and filter contributes to the final look.
- Experiment and customise — adjust colours, tones and opacities to develop your own rendering style.
- Keep it as a reference — open it whenever you need a guide for setting up future site plans from scratch.
Who Am I & What Do I Know About Architecture?
I’m Rasha Shrourou, an architectural designer and founder of Surviving Architecture; a community of over 300,000 architects and students learning to create better drawings and presentations.
I started Surviving Architecture while studying architecture to share what I was learning and help others improve their visual storytelling. What began as a few tutorials has grown into one of the largest platforms for architecture students worldwide.
Over the years, I’ve collaborated with Lumion, D5 Render, and Skillshare, hosted international workshops, mentored students, and created design tools used by thousands of architects.
Along the way, I’ve been recognised for my work — winning the RIBA Wren Insurance Association Scholarship (2021) worth £6,000, awarded to only five architecture students across the UK, and the RIBA West Midlands Regional Award for Women in Property during my undergraduate studies, competing among hundreds of applicants. My design projects have also been featured on Dezeen, RIBA, AJ, YAC, and Archisource.
Through both practice and content creation, I’ve learned how powerful visual clarity and storytelling are in architecture; and that’s exactly what inspired this psd.
