I wanted a way to test visual styles quickly. One click. One decision. No rebuilding the file every time.
So I built these actions.
Each action applies a complete architectural image style instantly, allowing you to explore different visual directions, compare options side by side, and move forward with confidence.

Instructions
Please follow these steps carefully for the best results:
- Ensure only one layer in your Photoshop file is titled “Background” and that it is locked (case-sensitive).
- For the Blueprint Style, you’ll need to add two additional images — “Grid” and “Paper Texture” — as explained in this video:

Who Am I & What Do I Know About Architecture?
I’m Rasha Shrourou, an architectural designer and founder of Surviving Architecture; a community of over 300,000 architects and students learning to create better drawings and presentations.
I started Surviving Architecture while studying architecture to share what I was learning and help others improve their visual storytelling. What began as a few tutorials has grown into one of the largest platforms for architecture students worldwide.
Over the years, I’ve collaborated with Lumion, D5 Render, and Skillshare, hosted international workshops, mentored students, and created design tools used by thousands of architects.
Along the way, I’ve been recognised for my work — winning the RIBA Wren Insurance Association Scholarship (2021) worth £6,000, awarded to only five architecture students across the UK, and the RIBA West Midlands Regional Award for Women in Property during my undergraduate studies, competing among hundreds of applicants. My design projects have also been featured on Dezeen, RIBA, AJ, YAC, and Archisource.
